🔥 SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT SALVATION — JESUS MUST KNOW YOU
Matthew 7:23 gives us a sobering warning from the words of Jesus: “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” These words remind us that Christianity is not merely about knowing the name of Jesus, attending church, or saying that we believe. The Lord desires a genuine relationship with Him that produces a transformed and obedient life.
A person may speak about God, appear religious, and even do things that seem spiritual, yet Jesus teaches that outward profession alone is not enough. What matters is whether our lives are surrendered to God and whether we are walking according to His Word.
From an Oneness Pentecostal perspective, there is one true God, and Jesus Christ is the fullness of God revealed in human flesh. “God was manifest in the flesh” (1 Timothy 3:16). Jesus is not merely a distant Savior; He is the One we are called to know, love, obey, and follow.
The message of the image is therefore a serious call to examine our hearts. Are we simply saying, “Lord, Lord,” or are we truly living for Him? Are we allowing sin, pride, worldly desires, unforgiveness, and disobedience to control our lives, or are we surrendering ourselves to the Lord?
True faith should lead to a changed life. We are called to repent, turn away from sin, seek God sincerely, and walk in obedience to His Word. Oneness Pentecostal teaching emphasizes the biblical response of repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the Holy Ghost, while continuing to live a life of holiness and faithfulness before God (Acts 2:38).
This is not a message intended to create fear without hope. It is a call to get right with God while there is still time. Jesus is calling people away from a life of sin and toward a life of righteousness, holiness, obedience, and genuine fellowship with Him.
Do not wait until the end to discover that you only knew about Jesus but never truly surrendered your life to Him.
Seek Him now.
Repent sincerely.
Obey His Word.
Walk in holiness.
Stay faithful.
Let your life demonstrate that Jesus is truly Lord.
“Lord, help me not only to know Your name, but to truly know You, follow You, and live according to Your Word. Amen.”
